WHAT IT TAKES TO DRIVE FOR TRISTAR
Safety is first and foremost in all that we do. We follow strict guidelines issued by the Ohio Department of Education to hire our drivers, including screening processes, policies, procedures and reporting requirements. To drive with us, we require:

Must be 24 years of age or older
-
Experience with children or adults with disabilities a plus
-
Familiarity with smart phones, including map, email, and time-keeping apps.

Less than 4 points on your Ohio license; have no ‘assured clear distance’ violations in the last two years
-
No DUI’s/OMVI’s on your driving record in the last 10 years
-
Background check with a fingerprint FBI/BCI screening and sex offender registries
-
Pre-employment drug screen as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post accident screenings once on board
-
Pre-employment driving test
-
Annual driver physicals
-
Successful completion of the Ohio Department of Education training, our Tristar training and annual in-service classes
